El comando para realizar operaciones sobre una unida de cintas es mt.
Es muy posible que el paquete no se encuentre instalado y recibamos errores como:
[root@Syswoody ~]# mt -t /dev/st0 rewind
-bash: mt: command not found
El paquete que lleva todas las funcionalidades es mt-st para instalarlo, hacemos uso de Yum
[root@Syswoody~]# yum install mt-st
